200 ft is not enough for many caving applicants shuch as examination of the bottom of the pit or searching windows in chimneys. I would say that 500 ft is about reasonable and maybe OP wants more
I guess you do need a narrow then, 500 is too far for a flood.
You can do 2 separate leds with one driver, with a rocker on-off-on, i’ve build many mods this way, just with a toggle, I put switch on the output of the driver, not input. the driver would shut off with no load on no load safety, that is when your switch in the middle, when you flip it to either side, you’ll power either led, but not both at same time, for that, you’d need either add another switch, or use a rotary, or a 2 channel driver, and control it with 1 momentary switch.
I’ve done several builds that way, no issues still, i build those over a decade ago, but they will drain battery in storage unless you make a power disconnect somewhere.
