It’s the modes, twisty and sequence that kills it for me. Also the price and the fact that it uses cr123s. In fact, the only appealing thing about this light to me is that it made out of copper. I would like a copper light but not this one.

Perfect set of modes and sequence. Twisty is best for an EDC pocket light, more reliable than a button and no accidental activation. CR123’s cost a buck or so. I get over a year of use out of one in my Quark Mini 123.
I personally prefer CR123’s for my EDC as well. Its nice having rechargeable batteries and using lights with impunity, but for something I need to rely on and carry every day, nothing beats CR123’s. At $22 for a pack of 20 premium Streamlight CR123’s ($1.10 each) from Botach, I can easily justify using them without worrying about the cost.
I got mine in today. It is quite a chunk ’o metal. Compared to the Quark Mini 123, it feels like it is made of lead.
A quick toss into the Sphere of Many Mysteries came up with:
low: 3 lumens
med: 26 lumens
high: 138 lumens
CCT: 6200K

Got mine a few days ago. The copper looks really cool, but man is it hard to keep clean and shiny. It comes in a nice padded plastic case. Heavy as a mofica but I like it!
Now if only it came with a pocket clip. I would rotate this with my Fenix PD22 S2 as my EDC light.
I have maratac cu aaa, One cu light is enough for me.
I haven’t tried lemon juice but ketchup works ok to remove tarnish.

the Olight Cu is not as heavy as the Maratac, but its already more than heavy enough…
I now carry an Aluminum 16340 light, after selling the Cu Olight
Im a fanatic about avoiding PWM, so the Maratac CR123 has never been a serious contender for my affections
but I support you if you want to buy one and post pics for me to drool over
even though I agree the XPG3 is not appealing, Im a bit past buying what I “need”, sometimes I just buy stuff I want, even when I know the LED has green tint, low CRI, and cant be changed…
I’ve always wanted one of these and have been waiting for them to become available again. However, I really don’t like the new tail design. Guess they’re trying to save some weight. That triple mod by CRX is absolutely amazing!
