Absolutely. There is nothing more beautiful than freshly fallen snow. Falling snow in the woods is surprisingly loud. It is incredible. You have to be far enough from “civilization” to hear it though.
Taking a hike a couple of days later in the woods and you can read the entire story of what is going on in that wood lot in the freshly fallen snow. One of the best things I saw is where a bird of prey, I think it was an owl, had snatched a rodent up off of the snow. You could see the impressions of the feathers in the snow.
The sun, the moon, the darkened sky, The morning dew reflecting in my eye, The rising mist, the dampened earth Are just reminders of what life’s worth.
