MNKE imr 26650 in stock here

Since we’re on the topic of 26650’s I’m in the market for 4 of them to power an MKR. I’m having a hard time deciding what to buy. I feel they are all cheap chinese crap and I don’t trust any of them. The only one I figured would be trust worthy would be the Tenergy

I’m looking for capacity not amps seeing the MKR draw will probably be less than 2A.

king kong are good, but they are unprotected

enerpower or keeppower 26650 both make good protected 26650

We didn’t do any seriously high amp testing. So possibly the MNKE’s can draw as much or more as our king Kongs did. The results we got were from testing lights, generally in the 3-6A range. Most were direct drive. Basically we tried doing tailcap amps readings first. Every light tested had a higher tailcap reading with the King Kong vs the MNKE. Then we stuck each light in the lightbox. And those numbers matched - the higher amperaged king powered lights put out more lumens than the MNkE’s. So I guess what that means is the king Kongs I tested had lower resistance than the MNKE did.
Now if driven hard, verses moderate DD, the MNKE might excel, don’t know. We didn’t do an “official” battery test. We started noticing lower output on some of our 26650 lights than previous tests had shown. So we started testing different battery setups until we narrowed down what was going on. For example my Maelstrom S12 modded with DD puts out about 1100 lumens with my KING Kong, but only about 1000 with the MNKE and the 4Sevens 26650’s. It made that much difference. Other lights showed similar results. As a note that S12 doesn’t draw over 5amps like your bigger SST90 lights do. So who knows with them.

interesting - i wonder if the voltage on the mnkes dropped more under load than the king kongs

Yep, already have 6 of these from EDC+ in my possession. I love fast shipping
