It very well could be 22k on the X6 driver, I know it was on the A6. But 22k has been shown to cause more OTC issues than using 19.1k. Maybe you can figure that issue out too. (specifically the OTC timing inconsistencies that happen when the light gets very hot)

I think we have established that almost every other component seems to be interacting with the OTC draindown.

I’ve read the theories about temperature sensitivity of the caps, hence experimentation to try to find a “golden” part.

But I’m not so sure.

ISTM that OTC can only drain down via MCU pin 2.

Whilst the MCU is effectively de-powered.

I suspect that the current path through the MCU to ground is complicated.

And being made of silicon probably rather temperature sensitive.

My first suggestion is to isolate OTC from the MCU by fitting a blocking diode (low reverse leakage) between it and pin 2.

Allowing it to be charged up by the MCU, but isolated afterwards.

Then fit a resistor across the OTC to set the desired time constant.

If this improves things on a breadboard, it might be worth pursuing.
