The best way to describe the modes on this light are
Lo= a nice AAA on medium
Med= A decent XP-G throw
High= A good tight XM-L throw
Turbo= Nothing I have compares to it. Maybe Foy's 980L with its tight throw is about the same.
See now, this is where being rich (even dealing with budget lights), would be nice. :) One of us could buy 50 budget lights and waste a whole night doing beamshot comparisons. That would be AWESOME.

Hope you enjoy you’re keychain light… I love mine, it’s by far my brightest light and best thrower 
. Will you use alkalines in this beast or will you stick with eneloops. Does you’re tk41 have a donut hole? Mine does.
My plan is to use Eneloops exclusively except in an emergency.
No donut hole, maybe that is why the emitter is off center.
