There are two connected threads on this light.

The Nage and the Ultrafire are the same light rebranded.

So how good of a thrower is it stock?

Stock still throws good. My ultrafire came with 2.6A at the emitter. It’s not suped up, but 2.6A is still driving the XML okay. It’s the big reflector that makes the difference. The driver is really a giant NANJG 7135 based board. There are spots for 18 x 7135 chips, but mine came stock with seven installed on the board. I don’t know if the Nage comes with the same, or more or less chips. I liked the Ultrafire so much, I ordered the Nage too. I’ll be able to compare them. I also ordered the same Nage model that comes with a triple reflector.
