Maybe a bit throwier than the OP wants, but how about a Supfire L3?

2x 26650 (or 18650 with sleeves) for runtime. Anybody up for modding with a high-voltage driver? I have three additional extension tubes I had listed for sale previously… One of these with 5x high-capacity 26650s should be good for some serious runtime… The modern equivalent of the old-school 6-D Mag… :nerd_face:

Maybe you could buy a Convoy C8 host, then purchase a bunch of extension tubes (however long you want), and a driver that can drop the voltage down for a regular XML style emitter? Pretty much a long Maglite without the incandescent bulb.

I pitched a similar project to a member on here who works close with Convoy (J-dubs). I think it would be hugely popular for law enforcement officers for a C cell style Maglite replacement. Pretty much a Convoy C8 with a couple extensions in a 18650 form.

Yes. If one wanted more throw they could also step up to the L2 with multiple extensions and a new driver.

An L4 xml2 with extension should throw about twice that of the X6R.
An L2 XPL-HI with extension should throw about 6 times that of an X6R.

With multiple extensions that will most likely change depending on the new driver.
