this picture has been sent many times, but it is still necessary to tell you that you need to use good quality ac to dc module to power on our power supply, the output should be stable, no overvoltage peak, so that you can use the device for long time without problem
Hi RD tech. Today I received a S-800-65 PSU. This particular item was not bought from the official store. Small details don’t add up and I’m starting to wonder if I received a fake ‘official Riden’ 800W supply. Since much effort is put into making sure we customers use the correct input PSU, I want to make sure this is not some sort of fake. I’m hoping you might be willing to help clear up what’s going on here. Maybe it’s nothing, but better safe than sorry
It’s sold as “RIDEN® for RD6012P RD6012PW 65V 800W Switching Power Supply AC/DC Power Transformer”. Since I can’t mount it in a S800 case, I started looking up various details. Things I’ve noticed to far:
Is this normal or did I receive a fake? Any info would be appreciated. What’s bothering me most is that there is no warranty sticker and the screws that came with the S800 case don’t fit.
PS, the reason for posting here is that I have a RD6012P that should use this 800W supply. The RD6012P was bought from your AE store
More photos available if needed.
thank you so much for your message
for this PSU, it is normally same with our shop PSU
our PSU are also NVV brand, because we don’t products PSU, we only produce DC-DC power supply
But if you buy PSU from our shop, all PSU was checked again and aging again
for now you can power on to check it can work normal or not
for noise, when there is not load, it will maybe a sound, but you need to add the resistance (we provide that when you buy it from our shop)
it will be small
Thank you for your quick response. It’s very nice to have you here answering these kinds of questions.
Glad to hear it’s ok. I’ll need to find a way to mount it first and then do some testing. Looking forward to using the RD6012P and input PSU, all in a case and no loose wires on the back anymore
Btw, the resistor was included, but I found it made little difference in terms of noise. Adjusting the output a bit lower has more effect and is fine for my purposes, since 48V out from the RD6012P is the max needed.
you are welcome, if there is any needs, just send us message
