New here, have questions

Ill take some tonight

The W1 amber is so crazy warm it can’t really be utilized for any general purposes. It’s tough to choose when someone is new and probably unsure of what they might even use it for. And let’s be honest here, most people do not like the sodium vapor lamp look.

Parallel batteries allow them to just act like one big battery - capacity and discharge rate are combined.

Batteries in series combine their voltage instead, and the series set is limited by the capacity and discharge rate of the weakest battery in it. In general parallel is safer, and in particular a lot more compatible with built in charging, which needs a charge controller to balance the cells to charge series batteries safely unless they are extremely well matched.

I’ve seen a fair number of people specifically seeking it out out of nostalgia. Amber is also extremely good at attracting fewer of certain types of insects (although not mosquitoes, which are attracted to IR and CO2) and can also preserve night vision better than white, and while it’s less good than red at these, amber LEDs are more efficient than red as well as amber light throwing better.
