I found this one on eBay today. The pics show some promise with the pill being brass, probably not hollow, good heatsinks area, and generally good looks. Price might be a tad high though. Anyone seen or have this one?

Looks just like a UF-2220.
If it is a copy, the heat goes from the pill to the body, which then transfers it to the head. Lot’s of heatsoak.
Wrapper the pill so it touches the head helps the cooling.
You’re right bdiddle, here’s JM’s review of the UniqueFire 2220 from last year. Sounds like it might be OK then.
I noticed that the pill screws into the body, meaning heat has an extra transition to get to the head area. I figure the handling gets hot quicker than a typical pill-in-head flashlight.
I love the look of this torch, but the light output on the Unique Fire is very disappointing.
