New Osram Oslon Square, testing a 4000K 92CRI typ. emitter

just wondering why this LEDs don’t get used much

possible the lack of a proper DTP star

  • that people on BLF tend to like rosy tints, while most (including this one) Osram leds are towards yellow and green.

All newer, neutral-white high-cri Osrams seem to have yellow or green tints.

Spotted these recently, along with many others, from eBay seller jwhpargos. Many warm and high CRI emitters. :THUMBS-UP:

I have a couple of Kaidomain's triple DTP individual boards. The footprint of the central thermal pad could be more width and on center accurate, though anode/cathode pad distance is precise at 2mm. I do wonder how difficult would it be for me to successfully place them over the pads correctly without any sort of bridging.

Cheers ^:)

I’ve reflowed one on a single XP copper board, it’s a bit tricky but definitely doable with some tweezers and patience.
It now lives in an S30R javelot and gives some warm light with a bit of throw. Yellowish, comparing to Nichia but still good tint.
I also did a reflow on a triple board from KD but did not use it yet
