>>>>>I dunno, I have some 1500s that came from a tool pack, the INR 15Qs
Haven’t been lucky enough to to get any 15Qs yet.
I have a bunch of new 13Qs and another 10 new 1500 sanyo pink-ring SAs from some trimmer pack I just got yesterday. New in the clamshell in the recycle bin, but the edge was smashed so I couldn’t sell it on ebay.
They start off plenty bright, but — for me anyway — they only seem to last about half as long as say 2600s or 2800s. And when they start to ramp down around 3.8 volts or so, man they ramp down mucho quicko.
But i use them plenty, especially for lights around the house.
Same deal with the 1500 Sonys. I have enough of those to choke several horses.
So far, I have never gotten a crap cell from a brand-new pack, regardless of its individual voltage reading when taken out of the pack. Some at less than 2V.
Hell, I even have cells recovered from OLD packs at voltages as low as .7V but still retained as high as 90% of its capacity.
Try the cell for a nite hike. Performance seemed at least as good as Sanyo 2600 based on eyeball observation. I am satisfied I now have 6 extra cells to rely on. That makes all the troubles I went thru seemed all worthwhile. Thanks to Ubehebe for suggesting the pack, and others with informative tips.
Speaking of kings, all hail the Chair! Nice picture. I only have 24 of the 2800s. He beats me!
I really like these batteries. I notice with my lux meter that instead of sagging and getting dimmer, most lights actually ramp up for the first minute or so and get brighter! Not by much. Only a couple thousand lux, but still! My 2900 Panasonics almost immediately start to ramp down.
