new zebralight h502w dirty lens

My battery indicator also does not seem to function consistently. Sometimes it will blink 1, 2, 3 or 4 times all on fresh batteries. A quick google search resulted in a thread on CPF about the same issue.

I’ve read in reviews the edge of the beam can be green and they are correct, it is VERY green. Does not bother me too much though.

Overall I still like this light and should be getting it replaced. Hopefully the new one will operate how it should and have a clean LED.

No fingerprints on my 502w, but beam is surely green on the edges!
Great light for me.

Yep, I still really like the light besides the fingerprint. I generally prefer more flood.

EDIT: Everything is working out smoothly as expected. This light will be headed back to the retailer I purchased it from (they will reimburse shipping cost too) and I should have a new one coming after that. With return shipping + shipping back to me, will probably be another week. Time for more waiting :(.

Hi skyrider1,
Why don’t you let us know who the dealer is now that this problem is resolved? They weren’t to blame and it sounds like a place I’d like to do business with and they could use the good karma!

Yea, very true. Dealer is IS (illuminationsupply).

They quickly responded and sent me an RMA number. A+ dealer. Don’t hesitate to purchase from them.

I have seven lights Zebralight and I've always been lucky with them, I hope the same with octave is coming.
I have a EagleTac that came with glass exterior dirt and oil with print but I managed to clean.
I hope replacing your light, I have two H502 withe cool and I'm happy, every fan of lights should light as H502.

Terrible translation by Google :)

I have had a few Zebralights with marks/fingerprints on the emitter itself. I have learnt to compromise on this QC aspect for Zebralight in return for the great efficiency and UI. I still draw the line somewhere, but when I received and SC52w with a slightly off-centre emitter I was happy to accept it as the tint was quite good (compared to numerous reports of green tints), and the dome, lens and reflector were all reasonably clean, although not perfect.
