News Alert: DinoDirect Probably Won't Get Anymore Of My Business

You guys have made your points and that again is all good and you are entitled to your opinion. But I doubt many will trust Dino-Direct here since they have only seem to add to their bad reputation that they have brought on all by theirself amongst members here including myself to testify that they a toss-up company on when it comes to doing business the correct way the first time and you actually getting what you ordered. This was the very first order that I made with them besides all the bad rep that hey had received here. I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I won't do that again. Now you do business with who you want and you spend your money how you want. And you type what you want in these forums how you feel you need to as long as you stay within the rules and be respectful toward others, I personally could care less what you do or how you say it. That is your right. Now that isn't meant to be smart, but rather just stating my thoughts just like you have stated yours here.

I think this is one of the lighter situations and DD did make it right. Also, it's not too uncommon to mix up protected and unprotected batteries. However, DD has a history of shady practices so this basically tips the scale, even if it's unintentional. With all the retail options out there I have no need for a company like this. They have too much history of shady business practice to warrant choosing them over the competitors. Hit them where it hurts and reward their competitor. Only then will we see change. What's their incentive to change what still works for them? But I will still say the battery mix up could easily be a mistake and they made right by quickly giving a refund. See.. I'm unbiased :D

We're on your side and know how it feels ... believe me we do .

Like Boaz says, we're with you dude. You're among friends who know all too well the fun of being jerked around. We're just commenting on the specifics of what happened to you. I may be in the minority but my F15 experience basically illustrates the path of emotions I generally follow when something goes wrong.

The F15 arrived with metal burrs, a dent and when I opened it up, the driver board flopped out, hanging by its wires. With extreme stupidity, I stuffed a battery in there anyway and occasionally, the flashlight would turn on. I was angry and my review (it's still there) was full of "justified" indignation. The comments below my review cooled my jets and I never contacted Manafont for a refund, something I certainly would have received. I'm just not inclined to go through the hassle unless there's significant money involved and I'm not taking anyone to task that does.

E modded the F15 and it's now one of my favorite flashlights. I couldn't even think of parting with it . . . that from a light that made me red hot with rage when I opened the envelope.

Andy Rooney died today and somehow, the perspective corrects when someone you grew up enjoying passes.
