Nice looking/fairly cheap single Paisen 18650 Zoomie

Saw this whilst looking for more flashlights I don’t need… thought it looked quite nice in polished (or silver anodizing) and black. For £11.99 I may just order one….
Anyone else got one?

I like the overall shape but it doesnt look like one part matches any other on that thing.

I’ve been experimenting with chemically stripping aluminum recently, that would be a good candidate for it Little bit to steep on the price for me to try tho, at least till we hear it has a solid pill and good tail.

I agree. The tail cap lets it down, it really needs grooves like the zoom bit rather than knurling and maybe a flash of silver on the end, like the front.

Looks a lot like a scaled up Trustfire Z8.

I liked my Z8, it’s a 14500 torch. But it gets too hot, too quickly. Stainless doesn’t have the same thermal properties as aluminium.

I’m willing to bet this light looks fantastic on the shelf, but probably is a bit “meh” to use and so so performance.

For half the price I think these are a lot better:

Always the chance you take I suppose - I’m not really after a more powerful,or even better one (I don’t even need one lol)- I just thought this looked different, we are awash with black/grey tactical style lights this is a little more pleasing one the eye. Reminds me somewhat of Old Lumens part black part polished beauties - but without all that time and effort

Depends what you want really.

Thus far I’ve only managed to buy a couple of duff lights. Which is fine for display purposes, but if you don’t have them on display, then you’ll quickly end up not using them.

I do see the appeal of nice looking lights, but for me I think I’d rather spend elsewhere.

Thrunite make some nice looking lights, in either stainless, aluminium with stainless or titanium.

Bit more money and AA not 18650, but a better buy IMO.

Convoy are also offering some nice colour lights too and are much better torches than the one you linked too:

Solarforce also offer some nice looking coloured lights in the L2 range, Z1 and Z2.

Maybe none quite as blingy I admit. But as said, it all comes down to what you want from it. And I’m willing to bet the one you linked too probably has poor tint, ok flood, dreadful throw, PWM and the risk of next mode memory and likely high thermal sag leading to overall poor performance.

Stainless while looking nice is also heavy, so it won’t be overly pocket friendly either.

Now tha you posted it watch- 3 weeks from now a different seller will have these same lights but be calling them “New-Lumens”.

We have an answer, it is also under the guise of BORUiT Z24 and is on Fastech - Chicken Drumstick was right, it’s poor quality.

Guess I’ll give it a miss then, another that caught my eye was this (completely different I know) and still a bit expensive.
