As per title:

Bare emitters, and on stars

I think I visited his site right after he put them up. Ordered ten bare. I’ve yet to try the “B” emitters yet.

I ordered one today on a 16mm board. Should be a little brighter than the B10 219A, but otherwise pretty similar.

Fantastic! Thanks for the notice!

I ordered one and am wondering what driver to use with it. I want to put it in an UlatraOK SK-68.

Whats the price break on 10 bare?

Does anyone know if the 219B has the same high vf has the older Nichia’s?

I run a 219A direct drive in a C8 on 1x18650 and it pulls 1.37A, certainly not the brightest light I own, but it’s really quite nice and useful.

Wondering what these new 219B’s will be like and what sort of driver to match up with them.

Looking at Match’s results for the older 219:

It looks like a 2 cell (8.4v) input drive capable of 1.4-1.6amp would be ideal.

But is the 219B just as demanding?

some tests:

Got these 219Bs from Hank yesterday. Made some (white) ceiling shots among some other Nichias.

  1. 219A B10. Not those 219As from IS you all know, though. These were bought from the local distributor, and they are still NVSL219AT-H1 B10 SW45 92CRI, but they have different color tint - “lemony yellow” instead of IS’s “vanilla pink”. Here’s a comparison shot (not mine) of these two 219As (left: locally bought 219A, right: 219A from IS):

2) 219B D200 (not D220!) from KD. The very first 219B batch they had.
3) 219B D220 from IO.

10° TIR, “daylight” WB.
So, here are the results:
