Wow, this thread is starting to make me wish I had no money!

Buuuump :arrow_right:

Hi we have a 6 baranggay tanods here in the the community that are doing rounds during the evenings. I have wanted to donate some C8's to them so they can maintain a safe distance if their are burglars. Being out of work (still under training and waiting for the work visa my pocket is tight right now. I hope too donate some with the help of BLF. I'm into the BLF GT that was my first project light that I couldn't pass.

Send it via PM to the OP.

Because I can!

Heroic tale submitted. :-)

Feel allowed to reveal my name, southland.

Cheers my fellow dears ^:)

Contest is now closed, going to take a while to pick the winners. Will post results in a few days. Thanks to all the donors and entrants.

I have listed the entries in the OP and will be adding the prizes at a later time when I can figure everything out. Everyone will get something, some will get more than others just because their circumstances seen worse in my opinion.

BLF comunity should appreciate what Southland and all the donors made to help people with needs.

I have not seen such similar generosity in any other forums.

BLF is unique!

Thanks to Southland and thanks to all donors.

Congrats to the “winners”. At least… a small “ray of light”… a big-little help to get something good… some joy… to people that are not having good times… I have read all stories… wow man……… hope the life gets better for all…

Cheers!

Have listed some of the prizes, still waiting on some donors to see where their prize should go and some entrants to send me their address.

I'm drooling! Thanks!

What current does that stuff pushes?

Cheers ^:)

Very good idea! Perhaps make this an annual event? With donor submission section…

The submissions posted opened my eyes to the rest of the community here, and our shared interest which spans all nations and living situations.

Praise to you southland.

Addendum.

From the 75yr old from Queensland Aust.

Old.Sometimes tired and live life to the full.

Had motorbike accident in June ’90.
Broken neck. 27 major bones. took 6 yrs to be human again.

Got an Electronic Pain Management machine built into my Spinal Chord in neck now.
Charge myself up every night to control the pain.
Along with the Patches and Morphine tablets daily. (The second. “Bionic man” hey)

4 yrs later. Bone Cancer. Whoopy do.
Interesting, but that gone too.

Next.

fell down stairs. That hurt. Broke a few ribs off at Spine,

OH. Had a Melanoma out of my face last yr.

hey. Full cheek rotation. THAT was interesting.
Waiting, waiting for the next 5 yrs now for clearance.
Think I’ll live that long. Chuckle???.

Lost Depth of field in vision.
Can’t walk over uneven ground or down steps without a little prayer first.
NO more fishing in boats. or on rocks.
REAL bummer.

Moral of the story.

DON’T get too farkin old.
Die before things start going wrong. It’s not so painfull hey.

BUT. Enjoy your fukkin’ life. You only get one. NO seconds.

Not asking for more. Just looking at what some call hardships and pain.

And that lot was after workin’ 7days a week from 13 yrs to 48yrs on Trawlers first.
Then heavy construction. Cranes Excavators and DragLines.
While breeding a family.
3 kids. 9 grandkids. (8, girls.)

Jeez. I’ve had a great life when you look at it hey.
Plus live in heaven. On Tropic of Capricorn.

Keep up the good work Southland.

I’ll send you some money to buy a torch for somebody else hey.

Pass things on in life. You never know.

Hi MRs DNF.

That’s only skipping lightly over the top of it.

Main thing in life, is to enjoy and LEARN from it.

Secret is to NOT make the same one twice hey.

Unfortunately all my past relatives lived to late 90’s (mum 98)
and more.
That’s too bloody old for me thank’s.
