No More Buying From Manafont For Me

Oh dear, just ordered a zy-t08 to test manafont out……guess I’m going to be disappointed. :expressionless:

If you have a problem with Manafont, spit it out. You can’t just go around slagging someone in the forums without an explanation. Just being able to go around slinging mud would open the forums to retail WWIII. I have never purchased from Manafont so I’m impartial in this matter, but I think throwing around allegations of wrongdoing with no support is like a cheap political attack. If you had a problem, you are quite welcome to chronicle it here, but an unsupported statement is just a baseless attack ad.

I got my T08 with no problems… The problem with Manafont is if you have a problem they will ignore you and not do anything to help out!!!

i stopped buying from MF a long time ago. see my sig, i support DD and DX. whatever i need i can find there. MF has higher prices and their after-sales service isnt the best.

I’m guessing this has not been resolved to satisfaction.

That's if you missed his other recent post. (here). edit: oops... gords beat me by 1 minute.

And there may be some other history with Manafront. I don't know... just saying.

Too bad for me. I just started an account with Mana.

I’m guessing it’s about the second ZY-T08 he received

My money is on this being all about them refusing to offer an acceptable resolution.

Never had an issue with Manafont. Have some items in the pipeline from them, so we´ll see.

Honestly I never really had a problem with them except for the time I tried ordering the SRK mimic, which they did credit me the amount I paid.

Maybe I’m just lucky everytime I order stuff from them, yes? They’re okay on my book. Just my 2 cents.

Well I’ll make it short and sweet, but I got it worked out. Paypal was part to blame but they heard a ear full from me. The TK35 clone I received as you guys well know by now looked like someone hit it with a grinder on the top of tube on the inside by the head. Now some folks that wouldn’t bother, but I buy flashlights to collect and keep looking for the most part like brand spankin new. If I wanted a used light, I would have bought one. So for the ones that say that this wouldn’t bother just remember your not me. Don’t mean that smart either, so don’t take it any other way. Anyway I filed a dispute with Paypal and escalated to a claim because I was told they won’t do anything and ignore you. So your basically talking in the wind. Well Paypal decided in my favor with the picture I showed them, but they wanted me to ship the light back at my expense and include a tracking #. Now any idiot would know that the cheapest it will cost to send that light back with a tracking # to Hong Kong is around $16. That’s over half of the cost of the light. Now why should I be money out of my pocket when before I ordered this light I wasn’t out of any money. I plainly told Manafont to send me a scratch free light for the most part in so many words. Now I don’t analyze my flashlights with a magnifying glass, but I do expect a nice quality new looking light when that’s what I was supposed to be buying. So I call Paypal and tell them this was totally unacceptable. I tell them what I just stated above, and told them even a idiot wouldn’t fall for that deal. They finally agreed and are reimbursing my shipping cost to my account. But I do have to show them proof of a tracking # via email in so many days. They may be doing this at Manafont’s expense I would only guess. Trust me this isn’t the first time they have received a complaint about them.

But all this could have been unavoidable had they sent me what I ordered in the first place. So I will gladly take my money and spend it with other folks who will hopefully listen to their customers and provide them with like new products. Anyway I will get all of my money back to spend it some place else.

Now, doesn’t that feel better getting that off your chest?

LOL
breathe in… breathe out…

Seriously though, I have been fortunate with my whopping two mana orders so far. This does make me take a bit of pause. I have never ordered from dinodirect because of some horror stories I have heard that seemed worse than yours. (I would still be salty in your shoes.)

I think you did it right going through paypal. Always easiest to hit people in the pocket book to get their attention. Like you said somewhere on these threads, if there are enough paypal cases eventually Manafont will either have to get its act together or be up the creek with no paypal.

Hope everyone has good luck with their vendors of choice.

Manafont’s return policy:

+1. I’ve bought over 30 items from Manafont (actually I lost count, but it’s definitely over 30); and at first they were quite good. But lately…. :~
I just think they’ve gotten too big for their boots. They gave me the runaround when I received a badly scratched reflector on one of my flashlights a while ago. You’d think they’d treat a regular customer better huh??
Well just like ILIKE I’m voting with my feet… I’m goin’ elsewhere |(

A lot of people rate a seller highly simply because they’ve received exactly what they’ve ordered a few times. It’s like the eBay phenomenon. A buyer buys something, then that thing arrives, and suddenly and inexplicably the seller gets “AAAAA totally awesome seller!!!” feedback. But hang on. What was so awesome about that? It’s what’s supposed to happen. It’s a baseline, not a ceiling. I think some people are just still wrapped up in the novelty of it all, even in this day and age.

Sellers show their true colours when they go the extra mile for the customer, or when there’s a problem to be resolved. So unless you’ve experienced such, the most positive thing you can legitimately say about a seller is that you get what you order within a reasonable time frame. And again, that’s merely what is supposed to happen.

That’s all I can say about Manafont, personally. Nothing negative, but nothing beyond that either.

Perhaps its me,but just because someone HASNT had a bad experience or order from them shouldnt make any differance,Its a matter of time before its you, thats all.The flip of a coin it would seem.
They sent me my parcel quick smartish, all items ok,jobs done, but i wont be sitting wondering anymore.Flipping a coin will it or wont it arrive, arrive damaged, arrive at all, arrive A1.iTS happening so often now with these companys its time for them to get ther house in order properly. The frightening fact is,Bully Boy or bad service is so accepted, just because its not you, risk it because its cheep, cheeper than the next vendor, well ive been alright Jack.
IF,they have a 1000 customers and kick 10,so what they may say
IF they have a 1000 customers and kick 10,but 1000 start limping they may just think again.
The weird thing is.I think eventually they would all end up on the LIMP list and leave folk knowere to purchase or feed ther addiction.
I hope someone can see the gap in the market and take on the whole new concept of providing goods fit for the porpose,in good order and with a customer is king/can do attitude.A simple charter thats fair, with goods at a reasonable cost

Kick one lets all limp.

DON… Rant over

I never had any problems with manafont, actually they are on my list of favorite sellers.
All products were shipped and packed good, they mostly arrived in Germany within 4 weeks, which is ok. The customer service was good, when I once had trouble with one light.

So for me, manafont is recommended!

i’ve stayed away from manafont also…I did order some trustfire 3000’s because I know they’re good from there…now that cnq and fancyflashlights have them for 1.50 less I will be buying them from ff…

Well keep singing that tune and remember when they bite you. Then the fat lady will sing and then we shall see if you still recommend them. I used to think Manafont was a pretty good company. But wait until you feel like you got the short end of the bargain on your item. Then see how great their customer service is. Then keep on recommending them. LOL!

Like I said buyer beware.
