There are better models but the prices are sky high and this one is on discount for a nice price, I hope you like it, I was looking for one for a while, since I registered here I started looking harder and finally got one.
I opened a topic here: Bought a Amscope SE400-Z, need advice for LED upgrade. about it’s light, but I have some other ideas for the boom stand, it pretty big and it is taking a lot space on my desk, but getting one of these is too expensive for couple times I solder in a month, besides that model is twice as much here in the Netherlands. If you wear glasses, you can get different eye pieces, 10X is best for soldering, you can ask Amscope for advice, they have good after sales.
Oh I am a electrical field engineer (fancy name for a electrician with papers) started working at my 17th and studied till my 26th in the evenings so I am working as electrician for 27 years now. Electronics is my hobby along with some other technical stuff.
