enough was that I made-up a personal gift for him even though it’s small in nature and expense. So I’m presenting this as an individual endeavor. I don’t wanna get spammed either (not that I consider them spam in the usual negative way) with PM’s because everyone ultimately has their different idea of what to get him and for me to ‘corral’ folks into some concerted deal, well it just isn’t my thing.
So my suggestion is that ya PM him for his address and apply your own personal touch. But OTOH if some of you wanna get together and do your own thing as a group-buy then hey I think that’s a fine idea too.
Either way all these gifts no matter what they are and the thoughts behind them ultimately reflects each individual’s appreciation of him, the time he takes, the hard work, and the teaching he gives us. To me that’s what it’s all about.

First of all, let me say that the fact you all are wanting to do something nice for me is very, very kind and I am very deeply touched at the thought.
Second, let me say that it is also very embarrassing for me to be the subject of a thread like this, no matter how well intentioned it is. It's my upbringing I guess, but it is very hard to let this thread go on this way, as I feel like things like this should be in private (PM's), not in public view. I am not saying you are wrong, just that it's wrong for me, we are all different and I'm not trying to slap anyone in the face, I'm just expressing my thoughts.
I do want to thank all of you for thinking of me and it is something I never sought after or even saw it coming. It is very kind of all of you.
