I seriously never, ever, ever thought I would be a winner. Talk about feeling over the moon! :party:
I’m not telling Max he has a new lead on the way because if you mention the l-e-a-d word he goes crazy until you put it on him and he sometimes literally wets himself with excitement. Even if you spell it, he knows what you are on about.
Same as when we have friends over that smoke, he associate them coming with him going out back for a play.
He just adores being outside and constantly playing.
We got him 6 years ago as a rescue dog when he was approximately a year old. He was massively overweight, was absolutely petrified of EVERYTHING, taking him for a walk was always a struggle because of the traffic and being around other people. And if anybody had a hi-vis coat on he would lay down, refuse to budge and just lay there shivering, quite often wetting himself with fear.
A sweeping brush would do the same to him and if we got the vacuum cleaner out he would try hiding in a corner.
It’s been a long hard struggle but now he is full of beans and not a care in the world. Loud noises still unsettle him as do raised voices but other than that he is just a big, daft, soft, teddy bear. :heart_eyes:
As I’ve already said in an earlier post, he usually ends up taking ME for walkies when we are out and about with my left arm ending up 3ft longer than my right arm!

Max loves his new lead!
I’ll get a picture of him wearing it next time we go walkies. May be a couple of days as weather and work are against me at the moment.

Sorry for not getting back sooner but things have been a little bit $h1t for me just lately due to losing my sister but I finally got around to taking a picture of Max wearing his new lead.
As you can see he decided to let my daughter in on the photo too!
