Yes, the default value is $14.90. You can always change it if you want to depending on your countries import laws.

Is Patagonia a country?

If you think the low value would be suspicious to customs you can raise it, but still keep it under a certain limit so as to limit your customs or import taxes on it.

I plan to keep this light indefinitely. For me, faster or slower shipping doesn’t matter. I’d prefer them to get it right if it makes a difference.

I see you are on the list twice, at #734 where you requested a light and at #1343 where you requested a 2nd light plus batteries.

Did you request batteries for the first light as well, or did you add them when you ordered? Are you still planning to buy batteries with your second light?

Presently the folks from 1 to 1049 have got their payment instructions, so I assume you haven’t paid for the 2nd light and batteries yet.

If you added batteries with your first light when you ordered, it may have messed up the order list a little.

I think this is a situation where you would need to send a PM or email to Neal explaining the situation. Maybe title it “My Shipping Order Looks Wrong”.

First time I was on list for light (didn’t know that batteries would be offered) when I bought and paid for the light I ordered the batteries at that time as well

Second time on list I asked for both. I would like both for the second light as well

Hi all,

i have one question since weeks now. Sorry if i missed it.
If we mod the light with an XHP70 why will the throw go down to nearly half of the way?
I would assume that this LED has the same or nearly the same light density as the smaller one?
Then the throw should be nearly the same but only with a bigger diameter??
Or is it an older type of LED with significant lower LM per mm2?

I don’t want to get too off topic, so I answered here.

My Understanding of Emitter Die Size in Relation to Throw

The density is about the same (xhp35 hi at 490 lumen per square millimeter compared to xhp70.2 sliced dome at 509 lumen per square millimeter), the problem is the size. To get long distance you need to make a beam of light as parallel as possible. If the light beam is cone shaped, of course it spreads out and you lose intensity. Lasers are very parallel which is why they go such long distances even though they don’t have to be very bright. So keep that in mind. Now with a reflector based ligh…

You can modify them to accept flat top.

That’s what I will wind up doing. I see no need to purchase more batteries. I have the GA’s and VTC6’s and the LG HG2’s that should run fine in the GT.

Here a quick pic of carrier and mod to allow flat tops, the jest of it.

Lumintop, BLF and Myself don’t advise modifying battery carrier. Mod at your own risk.

Be mind full of battery orientation when loading carrier.

You can also solder blobs onto your flat tops instead.
