T18:
Noticed something today with my GT’s, so I’m hoping someone can tell me if I am correct or just wrong with what I see here.
I’m attaching two pics of my GT’s and when you look at your GT you’ll see that on the switch side and the tripod side where the flats are they are identical meaning machined flat both sides actually the same, so imagine the build processes, first you’d machine these flats on both sides of the section for the driver and emitter and then the next process maybe would be that you’d drill the 1/4” hole for the tripod on one flat then flip it over and drill the hole for the switch on the other flat and then later the branding would be put on or so in some type of order like that anyhow.
So imagine someone drilled the holes for the tripod and the switch on the wrong side flats of the driver emitter section of light and the treading had already been machined.
Is this what you’d end up with when assembled …?
And yes if you happened to notice I did snap off a tripod type adapter and have to easy out it later, but just happened to notice this odd setup here.
the strap loop on mine is not aligned to either button or tripod mount. from the other thread:

Why do the font lanyard attachment hole not line up with the button?
The driver compartment and the reflector housing are two separate pieces that screw together. It is difficult to have this align and it was never intended to align.
