I accept this for the harder driven XHP35HI and much larger reflector and the ability to double up on cells AND Narsil give the GT so much more win anyway 
For all day operation one probably needs to mod it so an external power source can be used

Lumintop is a quality manufacturer
are there no manufacturers willing to make AR coated lenses for the GT then? Or would it be prohibitively expensive? As wonderful as this project sounds i’d hate for the lack of an AR lens to limit its true potential
Really hope this is the case. I know this is only my 2nd or 3rd post, but this thing is like damn near 2x the size/mass of the TN42, so it needs to be substantially better. I already have a K70, so something barely better than a TN42 at a much larger size, albeit cheaper price, has no major upside, other than longer run time.

I have a lot of confidence in both Lumintop and Neal, for Lumintop makes outstanding lights and Neal is as excited about the GT as we are AND knows his stuff being a true flashoholic
