It’s quite strong but I’ve only used it to hold a large camera flash with 4AA’s inside, not sure how it would react to the larger flashlight. I’d recommend mounting it from above so the light is slung underneath, then it couldn’t be jarred loose to “fall”.
Amen!! That is about as “budget” as it gets. $0.00 additional monies spent……
It seems Juusto is ahead of most everyone in the “”search for the budget sling”” department.
Here is a great idea for a “”budget sling”“, for any budget minded sling hunters.
Get some 550 Cord or some 1/8 or 3/16 nylon rope , cut to your desired length, run it through the sling holes in either end of the light & tie it off securly.
Your really super budget sling will then be complete…… Search over & budget problem solved.
That would actually be a great idea xCentrino!!
Then in case of emergency you always have the option to to ‘unbraid’ the sling & have a good supply of paracord avaiable. :+1:
FWIW the rule of thumb for doing cobra stitch with paracord is 1 foot of cord for each inch of the final product. So a 28” strap will require about 28 feet of paracord. It would also be relatively heavy compared to the alternatives.
I’ve done hundreds of bracelets and lanyards over the years. Piece of cake. But how do you handle the excessively long pieces of paracord when making extremely long objects like a sling, dog leash, etc?
Coyotehawk will add you to the list when he does his next update. It will be early January when you will get a PM (personal message) and e-mail giving you all the details of where to go and how to pay.

If you think you will want to purchase the batteries that Madmax is offering, go to the link and sign up for them. This helps him know how many he needs to keep on hand. Then you can can add them to your order when you pay for the light.
I see you are in the US, but have opted for registered mail. Is this correct? Once the light ships out, it may take 2 or 3 weeks through registered mail.
Texas_Ace suggested all US members to go with DHL because it is the same price and much quicker.
Let us know if your mail option is what you requested.
Anything I’ve ever gotten from DHL (which has been quite a few things actually) has come in 3 days. (not counting weekends, but have had them come on Saturday and even once a Sunday)
Edit: I think most of the lights I’ve gotten via DHL were using Express shipping.
The light is $155 while the group buy is open. Any moment now it might close and the price will go up to normal which might be $250.
You can also get 8 cells for $40 if you are so inclined. They will be shipped inside the light so as to make shipping the batteries comply with many customs regulations.
