I don’t know how they’ll manage to swap the switch cover and reflash the mcu on hundreds already assembled (and some packed) lights… That will certainly be a delay… Better forget about the GT for 2017 then. Glad they caught that up before the lights ship!

I've been being optimistic since Monday, that the GT will not arrive until "at least" after the New Year at a minimum
Yeah, I had a feeling it would be after the new year when we first got word that production had started but they were so excited and insistent that they would try to get them done before Christmas that I gave in and got my hopes up a little lol.
No one can fault them for trying though, they did their best to get them out before Christmas but there are always delays with a project this big.
As far as I understood his email they found out and are fixing it but are still planning to ship the lights this week?
But maybe TA has some additional info?
I read it as they are fixing it as fast as possible and plan to ship them as soon as they are fixed but I didn’t see any time frame mentioned.
So best to assume that replacing the switch cover and re-flashing 1000 lights will take some time and if it is sooner, great.

I too wish to thank you for the update and echo the sentiment of gratitude that Quality Control discovered and implemented a fix prior to shipping. It saddens me to see how vicious some people can be when there is a problem(for example the first run of the Q8. It is an awesome piece of engineering, representing hundreds of hours of labor given freely by the design team to deliver an incredible work of art, one that I personally believe could have been sold for quadruple the price. The Gigathrower also represents another excellent example of the BLF family benefitting from someone having the vision and saying ” What if?” And the design team and BLF Volunteers bringing that vision to fruition. Thank you, to all who helped. In my past life, having a tool as powerful as giggles would have been such an asset to Search and Rescue. On a few air ambulance trips where we actually landed on the beach in Mexico it would have also have been wonderful. I am so grateful, and like many I wait excitedly for that gigantic box to show up on my front door step…

As far as chargers… there are many good choices to choose from if you need a charger. You can do some research at HKJ’s site for some excellent charger info.
Personally…. I will just be using my Liitokala Lii 500’s.

Looks like the LED is the same in the 6V and 12V version, only the MCPCB is “wired” differently, correct?
Or do I have to order another LED as well?
