So, I’ve been looking at the GT and wondering…. I have a couple of friends that like to camp out, one of them loves doing it in ridiculously cold weather. If the GT were modified to the XHP-70.2, could it not be used as an emergency rations heater? I mean, remove the bezel and lens, set the reflector aside, put a SS bowl in the head and fill it with soup or whatever, turn the light on for about 10 minutes, voila! Steaming Chef Boyardee Lasagna! (or Ravioli or whatever)
Yes, I got confirmation of payment and the auto-generated email from Neal and I responded with congratulations to him on his wedding and my info. I haven’t heard a thing since. I sent a follow-up to that email 9 days ago asking if there was any update. No response to that email either.
JasonWW: J-Dub74:Yep. I’m in the first 555 and I paid for mine before the December 31st deadline and I have no response and no tracking info though I paid and selected DHL shipping and no batteries . I emailed Neal last week but got no response.
When you paid, did you get your normal confirmation from Paypal? A lot of folks, but not all, got auto generated emails from Neal listing the details of their purchase, asking to confirm their phone number and thanking them for their purchase. I’m not sure why everyone didn’t get one. No matter, people that did not get this email still got their light delivered.
You won’t get tracking info until after it ships.

That’s better than some. Perfectly normal.
I I see in the pic with the bag, that GT already has the stainless ring to conect the shoulder strap; does lumintop deliver it already those rings,or if not, where can i buy them?would be nice to order them together with the bag also
Neal includes a ring to use the strap of the bag on the GT ;)
First of all…. This was about Future Group Buys, NOT the GT.
Then why posting it here ? :weary:
This thread is a pain to follow since long, why overloading it with off-topic things ?
EDIT : this message was marked as rude… :person_facepalming:
I’m waiting for whenever I get PM to pay for my GT, but for now my (bag and cap set) is ordered and paid.
Thanks
for the people who use the internet without reading...
ONE cap is INCLUDED in the "bag & cap"
no need to buy the "ONLY THE CAP" also
;)

Sorry, I can’t answer that. I was replying to a post already posted about Future Group Buys. That is all.

All jokes aside I’m sure it could. My only concern, or question, “Do you think this would cause an overheat sinerio…?”
I do know however, in a pinch, and if it was my only option, I would definitely attempt to use my DX80 as a stove top…!
In an emergency I would eat ravioli , soup or whatever cold ,because I’m well hard :smiling_imp:
<~ Is patiently awaiting to pay for 1 BLFGT, and will continue to be patient until product arrives…!

Rest assured… I DID NOT mark it. :+1:
Just posting to tell that fully agree with pommie’s remarks about teacher’s post that is shelving us dedicated GT buyers and supporters as ‘whiners that should be excluded from the buy’. pommie worded what I was thinking but was I too :weary: to write it down.

Teacher is whining about people whining, so he is not different as them…he should be excluded from future group buy. :smiling_imp:

I’m with you Nev… . Not necessarily cause I am “hard”… cause I am kinda lazy.

Just admit it you’re well ard like me
I’ll even open the can with my teef.
Works for me then. :+1:
I agree with M4DM4X…. LIMIT Future Group Buys to 150 - 250 people.
Will edit my original post to show total support of M4DM4X’s idea.
…………………………….
Edit / 1-19-2018 …… 14:35 CDT
It appears the alternate method I presented is unpopular with a few. So be it….
I totally agree with the idea M4DM4X presents in the quote below. “maybe we better limit future group buys to 150 to 250 units…”
maybe we better limit future group buys to 150 to 250 units…
see quality and get first reviews
the second run can be done off the shelfes of a regular shop then who has bigger resources for warehouse and shipping

OK…… …. But I am gonna have to draw the line at using my ‘teefies’… I gotta save those.
Lets move past the drama please.
