Post Texas_Ace Lumen Tube Measurements Requests / Answers Here

A place to request Lumen measurements from TA Lumen Tube users.

Through the efforts of Texas_Ace many BLFs now have the ability to make Lumen measurements that are relatively consistent.
By comparing measurements we can learn about the consistency of the T_A BLF Calibrated Lumen Tube and the lights themselves.

And most of all the expected real outputs of the lights.
It will be especially helpful if multiple T_A tube users reply.

The original TA Tube thread is way too long to find info about any specific light.

In this thread I propose that:
ONLY requests for lumen measurements from TA Lumen Tube users be posted here.
ONLY reply’s to those requests be posted here.

I propose the format:
Requests:
Manufacturer, Model, Variant (LED type, color, Etc),
Mode (brightness setting), Factory Spec. (if any)

Reply:
Tube calibration method (if any), Correction factor or other info.
Manufacturer, Model, Variant (LED type, Color, Driver, Etc),
Mode (brightness setting), TA measurement (turn on (0s)), TA at (30s), Factory Lumens.

Other comments – (pertinent to reply only). Link to your Review.
Keep this area as clean as possible.

Please list the TA measurement including the correction factor.
In other words the theoretical real lumens.

For example.
Request:
Thrunite, TC20, only one version,
M= Turbo, F= 3800

Reply:
Calibrated with known Fenix lights. Correction factor 0.72 applied.
Thrunite, TC20, only one version,
M = Turbo, TA = NA (0s), 3210 (30s), F= 3800

Sorry didn’t measure turn on value.

Or a more involved example:
Request:
Convoy, C8, 7135*8 (XPL-HI V2-1A), 3 mode driver.
M= 1, F= 100,
M= 2, F= 300,
M= 3, F=1100

Reply:
Calibrated with Maukka S2+, Paper filter added to TA design, correction factor applied 0.94
Convoy, C8, 7135*8 (XPL-HI V2-1A), 3 mode driver.
M= 1, TA= 118 (0s), 116 (30s), F= 100
M= 2, TA= 289 (0s), 286 (30s), F= 300
M= 3, TA= 986 (0s), 897 (30s), F= 1100

My TA Tube seems to read a bit lower with warm temp lights.
HKJ measured M= 3, 901 (30s), Maukka measured M= 3, 898 (30s).
I review this light here: LINK

Post any other Texas_Ace Lumen Tube matters in the OP thread found here:

This is not the place to comment about the validity of measurements or design of the Tube.
Use the original thread or start a new one.

If this is already a thing – I must have missed it.
Redirect me to the post and I’ll edit this to point there.

And (if I my be so bold)
Make this a Sticky,
The Texas_Ace Tube has become a part of many reviews now seen on the BLF.
This is one more reason the BLF is a special place.

All the Best,
Jeff

Reserved for no good reason.

I’ll start be ball rolling
Request:
Sofirn, SP36S, Samsung LEDs, Factory Stepped driver.
M=1, F= 30
M=2, F= 300
M= 3, F= 900
M= 4, F= 2000
M= Turbo, F= 5200

Thanks,
All the Best,
Jeff

I gifted the SP36S already but I took a few measurements before I gave them away.

You can type easily write html and plain text code with help of it, just searching how to open notepad in windows 10 and make easy ever…

Hi Jeff, are you still taking requests? I just saw this as I am researching lumen tubes. I have some requests for you if you’re willing?
