Okay, called Battery Junction and Newegg. No go for either. Neither are willing to do a group buy. However while doing a search I came upon Rakuten:

They have a thing where you open a MC with them and receive a total of $50 off your first purchase. In the above link you’ll see where 6 packs of Tenergy 8000mAh LSD D cells would only be $49.99 which is almost half price ($40 off the regular price and then they say you get $10 off your first purchase). Not that I particularly need a MC but I’ll give it a try. I always pay my charges off before the time so I don’t get charged interest. I’ll let you know if it works.

Other than that, the 10% at Battery Junction is the best thing I’m seeing right now. Of course if anyone else has something better, please shout out.

look carefully at Rakuten. Trend Micro finds a backdoor .EXE file there and google finds other mentions

Probably just intended to assure customer loyalty and guarantee they know what you need before you do, but I wonder:

That Battery Junction sale with discount code is probably the thing to jump on.

Unfortunately no. They were wanting to get in touch with me about doing some more gear reviews (I review products for several forums).

Still looking for a good deal on Tenergy C & D cells…
