P7 buck driver w/ resistor mod should do 4-5A and is 19mm.

Interested here too! (and many more than just me). It is a bit of a holy grail to find a nice compact high amp buck driver. There has been an effort by Mataus et al. to develope one (search for 'holy buck driver').
