How the heck do I know what I meant? Obvioulsy I haven’t a clue. It isn’t direct drive, it’s 2x7135 and I don’t know who made the sales thread but he was wrong.
that’s an awesome little build OL and I think the twin 7135 chips is an excellent idea. Mr Duck deserves a big pat on the back/ wings for sharing that one - it makes for really robust and cheap builds, plus it can be used for a whole range of lights driven off 4-5V (like the desklamp/ phone charger mod I did a while back).
Did you ever take any pics of how the innards of the original came apart?
Is it just a smooth bore inside or is there any lip or ledge?
I do not want a bright lamp. I am looking for single level, just above moonlight mode, just enough to see to read and write in a darkened aircraft cockpit. Wondering why i can do with my little AAA Solitaire
