Replacement TV Brands (which one)

My inlaws are TV shopping. I told them to be careful about Samsung because I heard those TVs can play ads on the TV itself, like in the UI. Anyone come across that?

Yeh, that’s what I mentioned up-top as to why I was avoiding ā€œsmartā€ teevees.

I’m not seeing that.

We’ve been an exclusively Samsung Smart TV household for the past 10 years and I haven’t seen any of that either.

Currently using LG Oled 65". Great picture. No reliability issues. Just ordered a TCL 98". Wanted something a little bigger.

I went on a shopping spree. Spent a few Convoy’s worth of Blu-rays on Amazon that have huge discount like 60% off :slightly_smiling_face: :+1:. Thank you for reminding me how few 4k UHD titles I have. I am very deep into video but haven’t paid attention lately to stocking the supply. That GRUV site is also very interesting. Probably well known but I didn’t know about it.

Me neither.
For the Samsung TV that I use as a smart TV, that isn’t a problem.
When buying a TV (or just about everything else), I read a bunch of customer reviews to see what people are complaining about.
That complaint did not show up for the smart TVs that my family owns/uses. :tv:

Lol so you already knew what I was talking about. The craziness of the video hobby has no end. I started this thread on subwoofer that by now has 2 million plus views.

No problem!

I believe GRUV is actually a first-party storefront for Universal. I have ordered from there and the shipping was fast and all of my cases arrived in good shape.
