Loving the LMHML mode and the fact that it ramps up or down during brightness mode change, not the usual abrupt, discrete jump.

That sounds cool, I have never heard of this.
Is this available on other lights?

The Olight S1R does it.
I asked Tom E in the NarsilM Thread to implement it for max. brightness. Toykeeper mentioned a driver which can do it.

Uhh, maybe? Not sure. New manual is very brief. On the cell now. Ok - think you are referring to the method to turn the Indicator LED off - from OFF: click to ON, then quickly click OFF.
