That is indeed an issue, for little less money the Olight XHP50 will pump out 2500 lumens in a much smaller form and have high quality charging, case, adapter.
I have discovered that a small light is very impressive for people not knowing about flashlights and a long and also fat light that is bright is not as impressive as the small Kronos X5 (or Astrolux counterpart) or the 26650 sized Olight comparing them to a good modded C8 or SRK doing roughly the same of more lumens (and to be honest also for myself getting so much out of such a small package is just cool))

Got my 219B MK34 today. Button top Samsung 30Qs from nkon do fit, but barely. I really have to screw the head in with force. No damage to the buttons or batteries though.

My sample of Astrolux S41 doesn’t have a green tint (but it’s not perfect rosy either) and its Duv is 0.0041. For reference, the Olight R50 that has a green tint has a Duv of 0.011. From my quick observation of the new metric I consider everything above 0.01 bad. A rosy tint of Lumintop Tool Cu (219B) has a negative Duv of –0.0008. This is almost perfectly on top of the black body radiator line.
These measurements might change when I test the light in a more controlled environment.
The Noctigon requires cells than can handle 10A on turbo, with 4 cells in the light. The Manker only uses 3 cells. Although the physical fit is good, is the Sanyo GA rated for 10A adequate for the Manker? Is a real high drain 15+A cell not more suitable?
Possibly, but they have to fit in the light too. Neither 30Q nor HG2 fits in the light (too long) and I don’t know of any other quality high drain cell that is short enough (they have too be button top or at least protruding plus pole too).
Which leaves NCR18650GA (apart from 25R that does work) and there are reports on other forums too that GA works.
That’s the odd thing. The GAs are protruding flat tops, making real button top cells too long. Yeah, what are the options then indeed? I’m a big fan of the Sanyo GAs, and my Noctigon is powered by them. But chemistry wise I would not put them in the Manker for the reason mentioned before. But indeed, what are the options…
For the <20 seconds the MK34 stays on turbo, there is no meaningful difference in output between 30Q and GA. Same is true of course for the lower levels. On my 219B version at least.

on MTN they state the Sanyo as one of the advised batteries for the M43 that balances output and runtime. 500mAh more on a such thirsty light helps.
If you plan to use the light normally, I’d go for them.
If you are a light junkie and want to use turbo all the time, better to move to something like 30Q or HG2 that still have reasonable mah quote.
Shit, something’s up with my 219B MK34. It only puts out 3260 lumens measured with a ceiling bounce. The M43 Meteor with 219C produces 6580 lumens. I should contact Manker before doing a review.
