Ok, I got mine today. It is pretty but mine already had some oxidation on it, man does copper oxidize crazy fast. The other thing is I bought because, well 1 because it’s dead sexy, but also the look to hook to a splitwire ring looked more solid than on my Illumanti Al, but in actuality it seems somewhat flimsy and like it will come off in use on my keychain 
Overall the flashlight is gorgeous, the machining is great and the output is great, but not sure I want to put it on my keychain.
Something this gorgeous needs a neck lanyard. That’s where I keep mine. 
I can’t STAND having things around my neck, I don’t wear my work ID on a lanyard because of it and I won’t wear this on my neck lol. Still debating how to beef up the eye.
I removed the clip and lanyard ring on mine. I did some grinding on the notch in the base to remove the sharp edge. I’ve been carrying it my pocket with my keys for over a month and over 200 miles. The finish is holding up a lot better than expected, with just a little mellowing of the yellow.
So you’re carrying it loose? I don’t want to do that either, lol. Would like to keep the ring on it so I can put a split ring and attach it to my keychain like my Illuminati.
Yep, she’s hangin’ out free and easy in the bottom of my pocket. I hate clips and lanyards… It’s too big for the keychain. Too much room is occupied by a freakin’ huge transponder car key. I do have an eGear pico on the key chain and a house key with a built in LED light.

Mine was a v1 (lo-med-hi) and I really liked it. I was bummed when it went missing.
Right now I carry the polished stainless version 1 of this light (med-lo-hi). I liked the lo-med-hi ui better, and I imagine the lo-hi of this version would make me very happy.
Can’t justify it with the stainless AAA in my pocket right now.
Grrr… I promised myself no more lights this year.
But I have to have this for it’s sweet coppery goodness. 
I must confess, I love this light. I have only one issue, and I wonder whether anyone else is experiencing this. If I turn the light on and then off — and wait maybe a minute or two — I get a bright pre-flash when I turn it on again. It comes on low, as it should, but first there’s a very powerful strobe-like flash.
This doesn’t happen if I just cycle between modes. It also doesn’t happen if I turn the light off and leave it for, say, ten minutes. Only when it’s been turned off briefly.
Can other people who have the Rev. 2 copper check to see whether what I’m experiencing is normal?
I've never noticed that on mine.
Do you mind giving it a quick check to see? Turn it on, then off for one full minute, then back on. Any flash?
I don’t have it on me now but I carried and used it heard for 2 weeks straight and never had that happen on mine. The worse that happened was it didn’t come on once or twice when twisted but a quick retwist fixed it.
No flash on mine. No matter if i turned it off when on high or low.
I haven’t seen any flashing like that since I got this light.
I have just tried a few times, no flashing.
Checked mine several times and no pre-flash here.
40+ bucks for an AAA flashlight is pretty pricey for me.
But hey, its appearance is very pretty!
Sigh. Seems as if everyone here got a good one. Over at candlepowerforums, there seem to be a few with my issue.
Ah well — in all other respects it’s a gorgeous light. The beam tint really is the nicest of my cool whites.
Yes, I also have the occasional preflash-issue… :~ Didn’t want to go with the hassle of returning the light, so I decided it doesn’t bother me… Much… 
After all, this light isn’t my everyday choice, I mainly wanted it for the material… 8)
