Lets be honest here. This is a flashlight forum and you’re suggesting that I use something that requires AC? If I wanted to do that, I could just buy a MeanWell HBG series LED driver/PSU.

The DPH series might be inefficient but it is potentially portable and it is flexible enough that I should be able to drive most any COB with it for testing.

These DP power supplies are meant to be bench top power supplies.
If you want to build some giant flashlight with this instead of a regular LED driver then you just need to have enough batteries to reach 80V+ or use a DC to DC power supply. It doesn’t have to be AC. The DPS has DC input.
