This is not quite a USB device, but i wonder if the circuitry is properly designed to keep unprotected batteries safe when used in series

I have always assumed these devices contains one protection chip for each series set (Same type chip as is mounted in protected batteries).

Now I have ordered one an will check it.

I find that an interesting product combination. Maybe worth a review?
Will be a SuperDeal tomorrow for ~12.40$ which seems to be the normal price for something like that.

It looks like the Xtar is very new, I will wait and see if Xtar sends me one.

Theres a new version for both red and green YZX studio meter with lcd screen (not oled), it now comes with a microUSB input port to measure the resistance of the Usb cable under load. I also uploaded and tested the 2015 version of the YZXstudio meter, although not as complete as HKJ would test.
