Review request for HKJ [USB Power Devices]

It sure looks nicer, but the not-YZX’s are a “bit” cheaper :stuck_out_tongue:
20W Version: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/25-w-Industrial-Grade-Electronic-Load-resistor-USB-Interface-Discharge-battery-test-capacity-with-fan-adjustable/32571441665.html

Also I like the bigger pots, not that fiddly 10-trim stuff.
I think I will just order that 20W thing. If it’s loud, I don’t care :stuck_out_tongue:

The yzx do also exist in a version with a pot. On that pot it is easy to adjust to a 10mA level, but not 1mA. That is good enough for me and I do like them better than the trimpot version.

I did order the 35W version, I am a bit curious about it.

Oh, didn’t expect that, thanks a lot

I don’t know if you’re interested in something like that, but Julian Illet has brought me to this: http://www.banggood.com/Multifunction-60W-Constant-Current-Electronic-Load-Battery-Capacity-Tester-Module-p-1017322.html?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=julius256&utm_campaign=BG13184286&utm_content=chengshaoyun
Would be nice to know if that thing is actually usable or not.

Here I show you something HKJ won’t be able to review:

My custom powerbank’s PCB review at FastTech

Enjoy! :sunglasses:

Cheers

P.S.: thanks Halo… for the image re-scaling tip.

I have ordered one, I do not know if I have time to review it.

Could this be used to test driver output?

Use BLF’s Insert image function with the 100% relative width option.

It is not ideal for it. It draws a constant current and do not really care about voltage, with a led the current is very depend on the voltage.

If this thing is halfway Precise, it would be a very nice cheap thing to test powerbanks and chargers with logging.

May be interesting, but I did not find the software.

I did find it on a ebay link, but it was a bit tricky to download (My normal browser would not).

Can you give me the link via PM or here please?
I haven’t found it yet :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks!

You have to use the second button in the top row and as I wrote above it is a bit tricky.
I have not tried the software yet, but the included pdf documentation file looks good (Somebody has used time on it).
Both software and manual is from 2016.

Ordered one, along with some other loads.
We’ll see when it gets here.

I’ll probably get it tomorrow. Seems there’s a version that can handle even more power, though :

Downloaded and installed the software on an airgapped machine, just to make sure

I know, but the red version can handle 13V, if I remember correctly.

I’ve been messing around with this thing for a couple of days now, and it’s quite nice.
The software which was kind of a pain in the ass to download, is okay.
You can use it either as a load or just as a meter.
The data it spits out in CSV is a bit strange, but I have yet to play about with it, as I’ve been doing a big test of a RAVPower powerbank.

Hello HKJ,
I would like to request review for this USB charger:

I’m looking for something small for travelling and cannot buy locally any decent supply with similar form factor for acceptable amount.
Goobay charger you tested with shipping cost here at least 13$, original apple one about 29$. Everything resembling Samsung, HTC and cheaper apple chargers are guaranteed fakes so the only alternative is to buy some lesser known brand/noname chinese stuff with good review.
Thanks!

I have ordered it.

How about this one. I know you tested Ikea Koppla but this one doess not have the same spec.
This one is calld Koppla to. Art number: 902.808.26 (in Sweden)
Love your work by the way.
