Tried the resistor mod using FT 10 Ohms trimpot.

Soldered in parallel and trimmed to 0.95 Ohms. Lux reading went up from 40K to ~58K at 1 meter.
Using regular laptop batteries at 4.12V. What Lux readings do you get at 1M?

Is the stock 48kcd on your OP = 48k lux using the lux meter at 1M?

Thanx for this tip tivo532. I think this is much better and easier to do than stacking lots of sense resistors in parallel.
