[Review] Sofirn HS10 LH351D 5000K

30 mins in turbo mode seem OK. At least it’s much better than “15 mins in mid mode”.

It should. This flashlight doesn’t have constant current driver, so it fades with the battery being discharged. Also overtemperature protection steps in in case of using hi modes.

Why does the label say a different time? Do you think I should try buying a different battery, maybe it will last longer… this doesn’t make sense to me, it can’t have the 2-3 hours of light I need… I have a $3 headlamp and this one, which has a good reputation, shines longer.

Sofirn batteries are OK. And you can hardly find 16340 with significantly bigger capacity than you’ve already got.
As for runtime - check graphs at the beginning of this thread. High illumination for 2-3 hours is imposible with neither this tiny lights nor this tiny batteries.

From what I can see from the graph, it’s a little less than it says, about 15 minutes. Can you help me figure out which mode is which? How do I turn it on? For me, the brightness decreases and increases, and when I quickly press the button twice, it’s at its brightest. Thank you. Obviously, I’ll have to look for another lamp because this one doesn’t meet my needs. Can you give me any advice on what I could buy that would last about 2-3 hours, of course, without charging

And how many lumens you need for 2-3 hours?

I’m not sure how many lumens I need, but here’s to a good light for working around the house where there’s no light except moonlight

You have to know what do you want. Anyway, I recommend Skilhunt H04 .

Uhhhh, that’s expensive… I don’t need a professional lamp, I need a home one…

You dont want to know what i think :), good luck.

Hahahah

Hallo L.R.O, thanks for your detailed review.
I also watched your YouTube review.

I have an HS10, I really like it for its compact size, and USB-C. And tailmagnet. It’s become really handy on many occasions, at work etc.
LH351D 4000K, the beam is nice. Overall a great little light.

Except for the mushy button/switch cover, it’s so bad I can feel the internal switch components when pressing it. It’s horrible, it feels cheap.

Now I’ve done the button mod, adding a plastic sheet spacer below the rubber cover, on top of the switch. It’s a really really HUGE improvement IMO.
Now the button press feels so much nicer, firm, crisp. I can’t believe how good it is with this simple mod.
This is how it should’ve come from the factory.

Rubber Button spacer mod isn’t my OG idea, I copied this mod from somewhere here on BLF.

I found it here:
