[Review] Sofirn SD06 - good no-nonsense light even for non-divers

Diving headlamp? Sounds interesting. Is there any brand or product for reference?

May I know whether the runtime test of turbo mode is made under water?

I don’t know, before that can you back again C01S, this time add firefly mode < 0.1lm and reversible UI?

The SD06 (as well as the SD03 so far I know) are now listed in the Sofirn
Store, with the modes. The lowest mode described there is - like with my samples - the 300 lm one.
It is unfortunate that my suggestions for a proper moonlight are not implemented in a new version of SD06, as the item description suggests.

That’s a shame because I cannot recommend these lights for general use in household and outdoors… :frowning:

Sorry May I know how many lumens is better? We will take into consideration seriously this time

2 Thanks

I would suggest 4 modes for SD06:

3-5 lm (moonlight)
200 lm (low)
1000 lm (high)
3200 lm Turbo)

Moonlight only reached by pressing long from OFF (currently not used)

Moonlight not in normal mode cycle.

I also strongly advise to change the stepdown behavior on turbo because this sudden stepdown occurs way too early, change regulation like SD05.

Wouldn’t it be best if we left F&F out of the discussion?

I purchased a test unit before stocking this model and Turbo works as it should. I think you either received a faulty unit or it was since updated.

@koef3 @Sofirn as you have got sd05 and sd06 could you post the diameter of the battery tube of both lights. SD05 has got 28mm I think, but I would like to know the diameter of the sd06 as I would like to print a goodman handle for it and I found one for the sd09 which sofirn states with 26mm diameter for the battery tube.
Thanks in advance!!

I can give you some numbers in some days, I am currently not at home.

Thanks, that would be great!
