Review: Tank007 E09 3-mode 1x AAA/10440

Yes, this is the same light; MF shows old pictures, dont count on what they show.

DD comes with swivel ring (black w/ battery, gungray, pink) or with wrist strap (black). DD also has the original diffuser.

DX added this product on Dec-14th on their website: black, gungray, pink, all with swivel ring.

As can be seen from my sig (click on the DD number), i had a gungray incoming from DD but that envelope got lost and i have no doubt that ChinaPost was the responsible to mess it up (~Chinese governmental assembly security precautions). After 6 weeks i opened a DD case (not PP case! DD takes care of you, PP help is never needed) and asked for a reshipment. They agreed and are even sending it now with a FREE tracking number, to be shipped in the next 2-3 days. Because of Xmas season the DD prices are jacked up currently; normally this mini torch ranges around 11.99-12.99$ incl 10%OFF discount coupon code (coupon code which works today is: LOVELY). So DD isnt the #1 source these days for the E09. I seldom deal with MF. Anyway, there is another way to buy it conveniently as i mentioned in some other post! :)

I must admit that (more expensive) mini torches such as Fenix LD01, Olight i3S, Thrunite Ti, Thrunite Ti2 have a better beam pattern .. but the E09 does have its advantages:

an instant pleaser (to anyone, guaranteed!) when you see/touch it for the very first time, totally safe operation on 10440's (because the driver throttles the 10440 current, no silly direct drive), and 1.6A constant current on Eneloops, which means that the decline in brightness from 1.47V to 1.17V isnt visible to da human eye. While the Thrunite Ti on a full cell is brighter, throwier, with nicer tint and beam pattern than the E09, i can readily see how dramatically the Ti loses its illuminative power: put in a 1.47V Eneloop, and after 20secs on Hi-mode brightness has already dropped noticeably.

Having said that, i am now abusing my Ti on the keychain .. i need to find out how long it can survive hehe .. and keep my E09's in mint condition (shirt carry with LD01 pocket clip, desktop, indoors). The E09 is a really nice nice flashlight, very very likable. And i dont want to abuse it on my keychain anymore haha :D
