Yes, you can make a charge curve, but as you write a constant current discharge is better for battery tests.
Something like this could be used: Test/review of Electronic load ZKE EBD-USB
Im sorry too many question I want to get most of my old 18650 battery for power bank(even though i have other good one) with cut off voltage is 3V
I use one with single battery
so i calculate this
i readout with usb tester and iphone it draw . Let say 1A 5v
5:3.7:0.8(80%efficiency)=1.7A
with some work and component i can make it half to make iphone only draw 0.5 A
which is 0.85 A to the battery
And in your curve it is almost close between 1 A and 2 A at 3v
is you recommend me to make some work to make it 0.5 ? Is it worth?
I already read voltage jump from your article
I dont really know how much single 18650 draw ampere if use as power bank with 1A
thankyou

Old batteries will work better and live longer at lower current draw.
