[review] Wurkkos WK30 white/red/UV light

is it Sliding when screwing?

what is looks like?

For the S2+, if you want a smaller light that takes an 18350 instead of an 18650, you can order the “shorty tube” to replace the come-with long tube.

The same way, if someone wants a knurled tailcap for the WK30, that can be made as an add-on, so someone can buy it separately (or it may be an option when buying the light itself).

That’s why I “noticed”(?) that lots of diving lights don’t have knurling. If someone wants to use the light on land, they can get the knurled cap as well.

Metal is very slick and you have to pinch hard to get good grip.

Knurling would give a good grip ~ will make it easy to turn

Juuuuust for kix, try this Magic Code on Amazon for 29.99, might be active now.

It works! Even from the UK. Thank you very much!

Awesome…

Thank you for the update

Thanks for the readings - very useful.

OK, now I’m shopping for changes. Bought XP-G2 and Seoul Viosys UV 365nm Z5.
My plan is to:

- switch white to LH351D 4000K (yet from L4P) <— meant for close range

- switch red to XP-G2 de-domed / sliced <— meant for long range

  • switch UV 390 to Seoul Viosys <— meant for… ummm… nothing?

I wish all the modes had more amperage, but that seems way beyond my capability. Anyway, would you advice any changes? Is Seol UV good choice? Considering rather low power: is there any commonly available LED that could throw further with this Amps?

FYI

Please find updated manuals in English and German language here:

Could not resist. Swapped leds: White to 219C 5700K, Red to SST-20 2700K.

Measured (lumens):
219C (5700K) - 5, 120, 402, 901
SST-20 (2700K) - 1, 115, 326

White LED lost some output but I need the high CRI 5700K for work more than the stock 5000K LH351D although those are actually nice for general usage. The tint of the 219C 5700K (from jaxman) is quite nice and even a little bit rosier than the 5000+6500K e21A mix that I have. Will replace UV with 365nm but I only have Nichias at the moment and those, I realized, use different pads.

And I’m going crazy just trying to find a decent (molle) holster for it.

Got some Jetbeam holsters that fit tubelights perfectly, but it’s quite snug trying to stuff a ’30 into it.

Ordered some Convoy C8 holsters, just got ’em, perfect width but the flap is looooooooooooong. Yeah, scratch that, they’re going to hold actual C8s instead.

Saw some “universal”(?) holsters at FT which are adjustable out the wazoo that are a good 2’ wide, so those might work.

Any suggestions, let’s hear ’em.

I got a Convoy holster that fits it perfect. Hhhmmm, not the biggest Convoy holster - not sure of size though.

Just measured mine - it's 45 mm across, from edge to edge, maybe 50 mm including the 18650 holder. Open up, its about 22.7 cm long. Closed it's about 130 mm with the Velcro aligned. With the WK30 in it, you only get about 1/3 down the Velcro, so the light is a little too long but still fastens well. Width wise it's good.

So I guess it's not perfect - I'm guessing it's the S2+/S3 holster but the spec'd dims look weird. Dunno why it's so hard to get simple well defined specs on these things...

Mmm, I may have to try a coupla those universal holsters…

“NaitHawk”? Who named it that? Tommy Wiseau?

Thanks for the recommendation Lightbringer! I just ordered mine for $29.99 with that coupon code! It’ll be here on Thursday and I’ll test it out on my Tarantula.

Kewl, enjoy!

Here is the link for those people could not order from Amazon :

Good ease for many.
Do you send all pieces directly from China?

I like this light so much that I’m considering purchase of another one. It’s like having 3 flashlights in one.

If you ever want to make my dream come true, please release BLF version with each of 3 leds powered at least 3A.

This would be nice. Maybe an LT1 style driver with tint mixing for the 2 leds and a separate channel for the UV.

This is exactly what I was thinking when I was reading the specs. :+1:
