Fist you need to tell me how to open this without damaging it.
Take a x-ray photo of it
My guess would be to peel the sticker off on the USB output end, you should find some screws and the unit will slide out. Similar to this.
Here is a review of a 30,000 mAH solar mobile USB pack.
In case you don't want to watch - it contained 2 x 2400 lipo packs for a total of 4,800 mAH.
What is printed on the box is whatever they dream up on the day. Hopefully your experience will be better.
I doubt there are any screws. My guess is that there are a bunch of plastic tabs on the inside holding that outer pieces of plastic to the frame. That’s how my 10,000 mAh 5 cell “Kmashi” pack was assembled. I jammed a spudger in and worked it around to get them loose. It was kind of a pain and a broke one of the tabs on one of the ends.
At that size and weight, it could hold as many as seven 18650. At that price, I really doubt it is 20,000 mAh. 16,000 is plausible though.
Mine arrived 2 weeks ago. I ordered it from the cn warehouse. It says 20000 mAh on the back of the power bank.
It came with an USB cable and a chinese manual.
The 1A charging port is recognised correctly by my android devices. The 2.1A port is recognised as USB data port and charging is slower ( probably limited to 0,5A). I guess I have to make an USB cable with the data lines shorted to get my android devices to drain a higher current from this port. Apple devices should work fine.
With the factory precharged power bank I was able to charge my Nexus 5 like 4-5 times and tablet 1 time. Taking into account that the powerbank was not fully charged and charging other devices with it might be 80% efficient it might actually be close to 20000 mAh. When one of the USB Charge doctors arrives I’ll see if I can confirm that.
I failed to open my power bank. I couldn’t find screws. If it is only clipped together I didn’t find the right point to start opening it.
these are good powerbanks. its one of the top selling powerbanks and brand in china. i have the sense 4 10k mAh for quite some time now and i dare say they really do their job well.
fyi: i can read chinese. i get my supplies direct from china usually. its much cheaper that way.
Charged 11 times from about 5-15% to 100% my lumia 900 Li-Ion 1830 mAh battery, before power ended. So im satisfied.
My USB doctor read 14457mAh at 4,78V. Thats 69104mWh. According to HKJ’s test of Sanyo 18650 2600mAh they got 9106 mAh at 0,2A discharge current. The batteries in there should be atleast 2600 mAh.
even though mine says 16000mah, Its charged my phone many times without going dead… still a good deal if its the 16000mah as its more expensive on amazon than i paid for from tmart
I was wrong, they are 2500 mAh cells but has anyone got more info about them?
