Shadow L1

Yes

Just got one of these. Only does low mode and says cell is low. Tried all kinds of cells, flat, button, different charge levels. Any suggestions?

Which Solar Force clip did you use? Is it this one… http://www.solarforceflashlight-sales.com/product_detail.php?t=FA&s=17&id=56

Do you have any pictures of the L1 with the clip? Is it fairly tight fit? Or is it loose enough so you can swivel the clip to various positions?

I just received my L1 and the included clip doesn’t really work all that well. It’s not in a proper position and the light pretty much just flops around when clipped to anything. The clip would have been better if it was situated at either the top or bottom ends instead of the middle of the body.

I see there’s this other reversable clip, but it doesn’t look like it’s for sale any more (I couldn’t find it on the Solar Force website).

My L1 seems to have come with a XM-L2 instead of a XM-L; it’s got a silver board under the LED instead of the green one. I got mine from Wallbuys if anyone wanted to know. Used a coupon and got it for a fantastic price ($21.86). Looks like they bumped the price up from when I ordered… was $30.86; now I see it for $37.00.

I use the SF lanyard attachment. I gave up on the clip. It need to attach towards the top of the lightin order to be useful to me.

I still like this light and use it. Mine is NW, nice tint, but I get a tint-snob more and more…
According to this runtime graph and some qick and dirty measurements (slightly more than 1.4 A on high) I decided to swap the LED to Nichia219. Good decision for me, works well.
Next step would be to mod the driver for a lower low. Did anyone of you already get access to the driver? I wasn´t able until now. Tried to drill holes in the plastc ring in the head to unscrew it. No success. Any tricks?
