Suggestion. Flush the blinking warning for low voltage and just have the light start dimming. Makes so much more sense.
In the new UI , Low mode don’t included this blinking warning. If you don’t need the blinking warning in other higher modes too, you can turn it off (When in L1 / L2 mode, Hold click the side switch, the light will be cycling as L1-L2， cycling 5 times, then flash 3 times, turn off, that blinking warning turn off. Same way to turn this function on.)

I regularly use 3 lumens or less outside. When trail walking I don’t need to see any further than the ground–my goal is to see where to put my foot next and preserve as much of my night vision as I can. 1 to 3 lumens works great for this.

So once blinking is turned off does the lim dim as it drains or run full blast until it shuts off?

Recently bought few H04R for modding. Literally the driver is glued to the tube and the tube is glued to the head. When the glue is cleaned the driver is wobbling inside host! I would say all models with the new tube knurling are defective, because of PCB is too thin or tubes thread is too short. Driver thickness is a standard 1.6mm. That is why new models have PCB with that aluminum gasket . Without that gasket flashlight PEPSI. And here they don’t give a … just glued driver to the tube! Looks like with time skilkunts quality goes down the drain…

Well, I bought 2 H04R cold white and both had no any spacers. I don’t know how the flashlights worked at all. Probably wires or glue kept PCB in tact with host to make negative contact from battery . Now I had to make very specific half millimeter spacers. It was so annoying so decided to share my experience.
I see only cons with this spacers “upgrade”:
They can be lost as we can see in this case.
They do have some resistance so bigger voltage drop at high power output;
PCB are more isolated from host so thermal sensor located at PCB reacts slower.
BTW tail cap spring is made from iron
