the tm11 is extremly overprized for poor people like me :(
thats why we all were overjoyed when the king entered with his shining body armour . and we all bowed in awe at his meighty presence . He banished the tm11 off to the far far away lands
Couple of questions... Does the Skyray King have built-in low voltage protection, meaning if the cells get below a certain voltage the light flashes or goes to low power? And if it doesn't, would it still be ok to use unprotected Panasonic NCR18650A 3100mAh cells? (I ask because I have some extras.)
Also, these NCR18650A's don't have much of a button on the (+) end. Will they make adequate contact with the Skyray circuit board?
1. The king has standard low voltage protection, that is, until the microcontroller can no longer function (~2.5-2.6V). Then it will turn off and can no longer be turned on.
2. High will stay high until turned off or #1 above.
3. Panasonics NCR18650 has no contact problem. In fact, they fit perfectly, not too tight, and the smooth battery tops don't scratch the PCB.
Since I’m in the US, I got mine at Orbtronic’s ebay store and they arrived w/in a few days (shipped from Florida), but since then they’ve raised the prices $1 each. … Also available at several other ebay sellers and the usual suspects: Intl-outdoor.com, cnqualitygoods.com, hkequipment.net and more I’m sure.
