Got the Mimic King today and am amazed by the 40 Dollar investment so far. I used to have the original TM11 from Nitecore up until a month ago when I sold it and that was my favorite light. Now this is a clone of a clone of the TM11 and for that price it’s really great. It has 2 modes and a hidden strobe, the color is VERY neutral. It’s not a tad to cool and not going to the warm either, it’s really nicely balanced. My original TM11 was NW and pretty warm which I liked a lot. I had the original DRY too and this one was too cool for my taste. This mimic King here has the output of the TM11, is very neutral warm and gets hot rather quickly (within minutes). I’m running protected Keeppowers 3400mAh in it. The built quality isn’t phantastic but very usable (OK, for that price it actually is absolutely great) and nice but all edges are pretty sharp. Not cutting sharp but close to it. I kind of like it though because they hook into the skin more secure.
Considering I paid more for the cells then for the light this is a very nice clone. I have never had the “original” Skyray King so I can’t compare it to anything else but the mimic here from MF kicks ass. Bright, mix out of flooder and thrower (like the original TM11), gets warm fast, nice neutral tint, works better then expected!
